Twilight still draws fans to the damp, mossy corners of the Pacific Northwest. Although many film scenes were shot in Oregon, Washington offers plenty of places that capture the story’s mood. Use this guide to build a fan-focused route through Forks and beyond.
Forks highlights
Welcome to Forks sign — Start your visit with the Highway 101 sign where Bella’s arrival is framed in the books. It’s an easy photo stop and a classic opener for your trip.
Forks Chamber of Commerce — The Chamber doubles as the visitor center and Twilight hub. Outside you’ll find Bella’s red truck reproductions for photos; inside are life-size character cutouts, maps, and staff who can point you to local sights.
Forks High School — The town high school is a fun spot for pictures and to imagine where Bella and classmates spent their days. Note: the movie façade was filmed in Kalama, Washington, and that is an active school — be respectful if you make the longer drive.
Forks Community Hospital — Visit the exterior of the hospital where Carlisle Cullen works. Fans often look for the “Reserved Parking, Dr. Carlisle Cullen” sign; keep in mind this is a functioning medical facility and be considerate of patients and staff.
Rainforest Arts Center / Forever Twilight in Forks — This year-round exhibit displays film costumes, props, international book editions, fan art, and the original animatronic “Chuckesmee.” Admission is free and it’s a must for collectors and curious travelers alike.
Treaty Line sign on Highway 110 — On the road to La Push, stop at the Treaty Line marker that playfully warns “No Vampires Beyond This Point.” It’s a popular photo stop for fans.
Miller Tree Inn (“Cullen House”) — The inn resembles the Cullen home from the books, with a white exterior and wraparound porch. Inside are Twilight-themed touches like replica artwork and themed mugs; the owners lean into the experience for overnight guests.
Other Washington stops
First Beach, La Push — Important in the books, First Beach is managed by the Quileute Tribe and offers dramatic coastline and cultural context for the story’s La Push scenes.
Bella Italia, Port Angeles — This restaurant is the setting for Bella and Edward’s first date in the novels. It’s a cozy spot to enjoy pasta (mushroom ravioli recommended) and soak in the Twilight vibe.
Hoh Rainforest, Olympic National Park — Lush, moss-draped old growth that evokes the books’ atmosphere. Guided hikes and loop trails make it easy to explore and imagine scenes with the Cullens.
Cape Horn Trail, Washougal (Columbia River Gorge) — This scenic trail with its forested switchbacks and panoramic overlook calls to mind the film’s tree-climbing date scene. Options range from a short two-mile out-and-back to a longer six-mile loop.
Guided tour options
If you’d rather not coordinate logistics, guided tours run from Seattle and often include Bainbridge Island, Forks, Lake Crescent, and Marymere Falls. These tours handle transportation and route planning while hitting Twilight-related and scenic locations.
