It’s a sentiment I know well, but after several trips to some truly luxurious properties—think former palaces turned hotels and deluxe riverfront safari camps—I found myself longing to emulate the oasis-like feeling of a five-star guestroom at home.

So I decided to take a new approach to my bedroom setup, one that blends the comfort and chic stylings of a top-notch hotel, with a focus on overall wellness too. “Since sleep quality and duration are directly tied to other aspects of human health, a bedroom environment that promotes sleep can also improve how you feel while you’re awake,” says Tammy Pahel, VP of spa and wellness at Carillon Miami Wellness Resort.

Mattresses
